Fort Mill, SC

Welcome to Fort Mill

Fort Mill has a population of over 22,000 residents and is a close suburb of Charlotte, NC.  The area has always been a popular choice for commuters since it is a short 20 mile drive to uptown Charlotte.  That is far from all it has to offer, however.  Fort Mill schools are recognized as some of the highest rated in the state, and a significant reason many people move to the area.  If you enjoy outdoor activities, you’ll love the Anne Springs Close Greenway — 2,300 acres of protected green space with 32 miles of walking trails, horse trails, mountain biking, campsites, and a 28-acre reservoir for fishing.  More of a sports fan?  The Charlotte Knights baseball team is located in the township of Fort Mill and features games from April to September, with an average of nearly 70 home games.  If shopping is your favorite pastime, you’ll love the variety of shops and restaurants in the historic downtown area and all along Highway 160 with easy access to Indian Land and Ballantyne.

What to love:

  • Historic downtown area filled with a variety of local restaurants and shops

  • Endless fun for nature enthusiasts at the 2,300 acre Anne Springs Close Greenway
